த்வத் அன்ய: பாணிப்யாம் அபய வரதோ தைவதகண:
த்வம் ஏகா நைவாஸி ப்ரகடித வராபீத்யபிநயா
பயாத் த்ராதும் தாதும் பலம் அபி ச வாஞ்சா சமதிகம்
சரண்யே லோகானாம் தவ ஹி சரணாவேவ நிபுநௌ

Oh Mother! You are the refuge to every one in this
world. All other Gods other than you, give refuge
and grant wishes only by their hands. Mother, you
alone never shows to the world in detail the boons
and wishes you can give. This is because your holy
feet is sufficient enough for the devotees to remove
fear for ever and grant boons more than they asked for.

தாயே! நீயே உலகில் உள்ள எல்லோருக்கும் சரணாகதி
அளிப்பவள். உன்னைத் தவிர பிற கடவுளர்கள், தங்கள்
கரங்களால் அபய வரதம்* அளிக்கிறார்கள். நீயோ உலகிற்கு
உனது அபய வரதம் அளிக்கும் மகிமையை வெளிக்
காட்டுவதில்லை - ஏனென்றால், உனது திருபாதங்களே
பக்தர்களின் துயர்களை எப்பொழுதும் நீக்கி அவர்கள்
வேண்டியதை விட அதிகமாக வரம் அளிக்கின்றது.
* அபய - சரண் அளிப்பது; வரதம் - வரம் அளிப்பது
