ச்ருதீநாம் மூர்த்தாநோ தததி தவ யௌ சேகரதயா
மமாப்யேதௌ மாத: சிரஸி தயயா தேஹி சரணௌ
யயோ: பாத்யம் பாத: பசுபதி ஜடா ஜூட தடிநீ
யயோ: லாக்ஷா லக்ஷ்மீ: அருண ஹரி சூடாமணி ருசி:

Oh my Mother!

Be pleased to place Your two holy feet:

which are the ornaments of the head of the Upanishads, 

the water which washes Your feet are the river Ganges flowing from Lord Shiva's head

and the lac paint adorning it are the red luster from the crown of Lord Vishnu

on my head with mercy.

என் தாயே!

உனது இரு புனித பாதங்கள் 

உபநிஷத்கள் என்னும் தலைக்கு அணிகலன்களாகவும்,

உன் காலை அலம்பும் நீர், சிவனின் சிரசில் இருந்து வழிந்தோடும் கங்கை நதியாகவும்,

அதை அலங்கரிக்கும் செந்நிறம் விஷ்ணுவின் கிரீடத்தில் உள்ள சிவப்பு கிரணங்களாகவும் உள்ளன.

தயை கூர்ந்து இப்பாதங்களை என் தலையின் மேல் கருணையுடன் வைப்பாயாக.
